Meet The Staff
Julie, Patient Care Coordinator
Julie is our patient care coordinator and has more than 20 years of experience in dentistry. She assists patients with all of their insurance and financial needs. Prior to joining us, Julie worked at the San Mateo County Dental Society as a dental health educator. There she drove the famous “brush mobile” and taught Bay Area children how to brush their teeth. She has lived in the Bay Area for 43 years, making her a “true local” who can relate to almost any patient. She is a very focused and hard working woman of quick wit and positive attitude. She is an asset to our practice and delightful to work with. In her spare time, Julie is an avid horse racing fan who loves movies and gardening.
Kelly, Scheduling Coordinator
Kelly is our scheduling coordinator. You will hear her friendly voice when you make your first appointment with our office. She has a great sense of humor that our patients as well as our team enjoy. Prior to joining us in dentistry she spent many years working in the veterinary field and now is happy to have made the switch to the dental field. Outside of work, Kelly is a wonderful cook and a dedicated daughter and mother. She also frequents the beach where she visits her father. She has a love for animals and shares her home with her dog Storm and her cats Robby and Petals. Reading is a special hobby, one that she particularly enjoys on rainy days.
Oriana, Surgical Assistant
Oriana is a Bay Area native who has been in dentistry for 27 years and has been Dr. Herrera’s dental assistant for 23 years. She is a skilled, committed, caring & friendly team member whose smile puts patients at ease. She is a distinguished athlete with a love for baseball, softball, gymnastics ,soccer & basketball. She is a devoted daughter, wife, and mother and is enjoying her beautiful and energetic daughter.
Giana, Registered Dental Assistant
Giana received her license as a Registered Dental Assistant after graduating from the College of San Mateo Dental Assisting program in 2014. She worked in 3 different General Dental offices before finding Doctor Casey Herrera’s periodontal office and becoming a Periodontal Dental Assistant. Soon she developed a passion for periodontal procedures, and was very excited to embark on this new journey. She has learned so much about the ways in which Periodontal conditions are connected to the overall health of the body. Giana focuses on patient comfort and quality of care as she assists, and makes a strong effort to encourage patients into a healthy oral hygiene lifestyle. Giana is an artist of many sorts, and on her free time she enjoys singing, painting, drawing and playing ukulele. She also has a love for the outdoors, and spends much of her free time enjoying the sun and spending time in nature. Giana comes to work each day with a positive attitude and a strong desire to help our patients to the full of her ability.
Lolly, Registered Dental Hygienist
Lolly is from Durban, South Africa and has been in the US for over 20 years. She graduated from Chabot College in Dental Hygiene, and completed a BS degree completion at Foothill College in 2019. Lolly has been involved with her professional organization, CDHA, since 2016 and have held many positions on the local, state, and national level. She’s involved with Chabot College Dental Hygiene program and is on the East Bay Component board. Lolly is patient, caring, compassionate, thorough, and loves dental hygiene. Patients are very pleased with how she encourages and motivates them with their oral health. Her interests include, continuing education classes to improve her knowledge, skills, and understanding of the latest technology, instruments, and products available in dentistry. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, word games, and going to the beach. Most importantly she loves spending time with her family and friends.
Cindy, Registered Dental Hygienist
I love being a hygienist. Mostly I like assisting people to be healthy. I have been a periodontal hygienist since I graduated many years ago. I am a Mom and Grandma. I love to read — mostly books about being healthy, garden and dance but hate being a wall ﬂower, I also love music! I live in Plymouth on the weekend and stay in Fremont during the week. I absolutely love being a Grandma. Totally, there are 10. Working with Dr. Herrera has been one of the blessings in my life! I am so grateful to be a part of her amazing staﬀ!
Victoria, Registered Dental Hygienist
Registered Dental Hygienist Victoria Santiago was born and raised in San Francisco, California. She received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Southern California in 2017. She graduated top of her dental hygiene class and obtained honors in Magna Cum Laude. She values community service work and volunteered in many dental clinics in the Inland Empire. She provided dental hygiene care and education to the underserved communities in the East Caribbean during her years as a dental hygiene student. Victoria focuses on patient care, establishing relationships with patients, and educating patients to understand the link between oral health and comprehensive health. Her main goal is to gently motivate patients to take action but to accommodate their individualized hygiene care with their lifestyle in order to gain genuine, positive, long-term outcomes. In 2017, Victoria and her group were awarded first place at the 2017 American Dental Hygiene Convention for their research in Evidence Based Practice in Dental and Dental Hygiene Students. She is committed to staying up to date with the latest dental hygiene research in order to best serve her patients.
Victoria is a mother of 15 month old boy who she loves and adores. She was also born and raised Seventh-Day Adventist. She loves food and riding her peloton bike.
